Shareen Swart was a South African actress, writer, director, dialogue coach and producer best known for playing comedic characters in Afrikaans-language drama and comedy television series.
Her best known roles include Meisie Moolman in the drama series Ballade Vir 'n Enkeling and Katinka in the SABC2 soap opera 7de Laan. Other television roles include Fienie in Koöperasiestories, Sophie Myburgh in Die Drie Van Der Walts, Rita in Villa Rosa and Irene Greyling in Binnelanders.
She had roles in numerous theatre productions including Kinkels Innie Kabel, Death Trap, The Taming of the Shrew, Cabaret, The Balcony and Noises Off.
Films she has acted in include PI Van der Merwe, Circles in a Forest and Committed. She has also been a dialogue coach for such shows as 7de Laan and Egoli.
Shareen died on Monday, 29 October 2018 after a battle with cancer.
