Bio
Susana Kennedy is a South African actress, director, model and photographer best known for her role as Constance in the SABC3 drama series For Sale, in 2007.
Born and raised in Johannesburg, Susana attended the Michael Mount Waldorf School until the age of 16. She matriculated from Damelin College, Johannesburg in 1996.
From 2000-2003 she did a BA (Hons) degree at The South African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA) with an A+ average, majoring in Directing for stage and Acting for film.
In television, Susana has acted in the SABC3 dramedy series For Sale and One Way, both of which aired on the channel in 2007. Also in 2007, she acted in Diamonds, an international mini-series, playing the part of Jessica, the party girl, opposite James Purefoy.
She also acted in two music videos: for Heinz Winckler (Thanks You!), in which she played his love interest; and for Ayo (Help is Coming), playing her mother, a heroine addict who is too wrapped up in her addiction to care for her only daughter.
In theatre, Susana has performed on stage since a young age. In 2004 she co-wrote a show called Oh Boy! with Genna Luis and Richard Loring, featuring boy band Hi-5, and performed in it at The Sound Stage Theatre in Johannesburg for a nine-month run.
Hi-5 and Susana were nominated for best musical show of the year for Oh Boy! and the show was nominated for Best Musical Design By Naledi judges for the South African Naledi Awards.
She also acted in the 2005 film Normally Normal and in the Internet mini-series 3's A Crowd.
Susana is also an experienced photographer and model. She modelled for FHM magazine in February 2008, among other assignments.
As a director, Susana has directed a number of live events and functions, including a Nigerian Chief’s 80th Birthday Celebration, a live performance show of SABC3's The Lab, the launch of the SABC2 parliamentary series 90 Plein Street and a wide variety of corporate events.
She currently resides in Johannesburg.
