Bio
Amanda Dilima is a South African actress best known for her role as Zinzi in the television drama series Shooting Stars, since September 2007.
She hails from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape and has been living in Cape Town since 2005.
She moved to Cape Town to study Theatre and Performance at UCT and completed her first year before doing a complete shift into a BSc degree. She graduated from UCT with a BSc Degree in Property Studies and Development and began her Post Grad Honours in 2009.
Apart from her studies, Amanda has worked on numerous entertainment projects, including Shooting Stars on e.tv in which she played the role of Zinzi, the physiotherapist to the soccer team and potential love interest to the lead character; a year-long contract with Edgars as the English voice over artist for their radio commercials (she also appeared in three of their promotional ads as Maya Moloi- the sales guru); and commercials for Always and Surf.
Currently she can be seen on Jumbo-sized pamper packaging stores nationwide.
In 2007 she starred in the international movie titled The Bird Can't Fly alongside John Kani, Tony Kgorogo, Ntoko Ntshinga and Tina Jaxa.
In 2009 she joined Channel O as a co-presenter on Season 3 of the motoring and hip hop show Mzanzi Ridez.
When she is not acting or testing out the latest gadgets Amanda enjoys cooking, hiking and reading.
