John Lakness was a contestant on the television reality competition Pirate Master, in 2007.
Lakness studied physics while being an Air Force cadet at the Air Force Academy in Colorado.
He joined the elite Quantum Electronics Group at MIT while taking classes there and received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, the nation's most respected engineering university.
A scientist by day, he is a Chippendale Dancer at night (he taught himself to dance by using scientific calculations). He is also a former wrestling coach.
Lakness refuses to drive and instead takes his bike everywhere, including the 11-mile journey to and from work everyday. He also prefers riding horses bareback.
His hobbies include triathlons, weight training, learning new, amazing things and "hacking," "cracking" and "anarchy."
His greatest achievement was solving the Riemann Hypothesis by proving that all zeros were actually eigenvalues of a Hermitian Operator representing the quantum state of cosmological singularity.
He resides in Carlisle, Massachusetts.
