Kris McQuade is an Australian actress best known for her leading role as Professor Pip Cartwright in the television comedy series Supernova, from 2005-2006.
She also has a starring role as Jacqueline "Jacs" Holt, the top dog of Wentworth Correctional Centre who has served seven years of a fourteen-year sentence for murder, in the television drama series Wentworth.
As one of Australia's most respected television, film and theatre actresses, McQuade's distinguished career features a plethora of acclaimed performances, including her chilling portrayal of underworld matriarch Kath Pettingal in the award-winning series Killing Time.
A graduate of the National Institute of Drama Art, Kris has guest starred in Home and Away, Packed to the Rafters, My Place, The Circuit, The Farm and All Saints.
Kris's extensive theatre credits include the role of Dolly Pickles in three international tours of Cloudstreet playing in Zurich, London, Dublin and New York, as well as roles in Threepenny Opera in Sydney and Bogota (South America), Our Lady of Sligo, Snugglepot & Cuddlepie, Mourning Becomes Electra and The Odyessy.
Her recent film roles include Subdivision, December Boys and Better Than Sex.
Kris resides in Tasmania.
