Jeremy Davies is an American actor best known for his starring role as Daniel Faraday on the television drama series Lost, from 2008-2010.
He also played the recurring role of Dickie Bennett on the drama series Justified.
Davies made his feature film debut starring in David O. Russell's acclaimed Sundance Film Festival winner, Spanking the Monkey, for which he received an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance.
His memorable performance in Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan as Tom Hanks' interpreter, Private Upham, also earned him considerable acclaim.
Davies' other credits include Steven Soderbergh's Solaris with George Clooney, The Locusts with Vince Vaughn, Wim Wenders' The Million Dollar Hotel, Nell with Jodie Foster, Jan de Bont's Twister, Guncrazy with Drew Barrymore, Secretary with Maggie Gyllenhaal, Lars von Trier's Dogville and Manderlay with Nicole Kidman, Lauren Bacall and Stellan Skarsgard.
He also co-starred with Christian Bale and Steve Zahn in renowned director Werner Herzog's Rescue Dawn.
Davies was born in Michigan and raised in Vermont, California, Pennsylvania, Kansas, Alaska, Seattle, New Orleans, Oregon, South America, Mexico and Denmark.
