Bio
Carl Stemmet is a South African actor and television presenter best known as a presenter on M-Net's KTV, from 1990-1996.
He is the son of Noot vir Noot presenter Johan Stemmet.
In high school he received various awards, including Most Creative Student in Speech and Drama, an award for Most Creative English Project based on a Shakespeare play, the culture award for film production and various drama diplomas in Eisteddfods.
From 2003 to 2005 he studied at the National School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA). During his studies he also worked as a stage manager and production assistant.
In 2005 he made two short films, one of which was aired on national television.
Following that he enrolled at the University of Pretoria to study a BA Drama. He also worked in the drama department as a junior tutor.
In 2007 he played the role of Nolan in the third season of the M-Net soapie Binnelanders and in March 2008 played the role of Jamie Dekker in the SABC2 mini-series Huis van Liefde.
In 2009 he appeared in the feature film Tornado, directed by Regardt van den Bergh, playing the character of Matt.
In April 2009 he began playing the leading role of Marius in the kykNET Afrikaans drama series Getroud met Rugby (Married to Rugby), based on a similar theme to Footballers' Wives.
