Bio
Brian McNamara is an American actor best known for his role as Dean Karny in the made-for-TV movie Billionaire Boys Club (1987), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a supporting role.
He currently stars as Michael Holden in the television drama series Army Wives, since 2007.
McNamara got his break in Hollywood with a part in the hit movie Short Circuit and has since appeared in numerous roles in both film and television.
More recently, McNamara starred in the Lifetime Movie The Secret Lives Of Second Wives, and the feature films Hallowed Ground, and Lost Signal, which he also directed.
His other film credits include Arachnophobia, Mystery Date, The Mystery of Spoon River, Caddyshack 2 and I Know Who Killed Me.
His additional television credits include guest starring roles in such popular series as Seinfeld, Monk, NYPD Blue, St. Elsewhere, JAG, The O.C., Star Trek: Voyager, Mad About You, Matlock, Ellen, Murder She Wrote, Murphy Brown, Homefront and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
McNamara resides in Los Angeles, California.
