Lindani Telela is a South African television presenter and make-up artist best known for hosting the SABC1 youth talk show Making Moves, in 2007.
Born in Soweto and raised in Kathlehong, Lindani attended Mayibuye High School in Daantjie, near Nelspruit, matriculating in 1998.
After school she attended Germiston College, obtaining an N5 Electronics Engineering diploma. She is currently studying Communication Science at UNISA.
Lindani began her showbiz career as a make-up artist, working as a make-up assistant on the religious music show Gospel Gold, in 2003.
She graduated to full make-up artist the following year, and in 2005 worked for Eclipse TV, as the make-up artist on their shows Chatroom and Reliable Slam Down.
From 2005-2006 she worked as a receptionist for Republic Productions, and the following year landed a job with Bonngoe Productions as a Production Assistant, Set Designer and Floor Manager for shows such as Afro Cafe on SABC2, Zooming In On Men on SABC3, the Metro Fm Awards 2006 and Zwahashu, both on SABC2.
From July to December, 2007, she was the host of the SABC1 youth talk show Making Moves, which shared entrepreneurial information to assist young South Africans with the operation and establishment of their own businesses.
It was her first television presenting job.
Since 2008 she has worked as a producer for her own company, Lindani Productions, which she runs with her husband, Themba Telela.
The couple have a daughter, Zoe, born in 2005.
Lindani is multilingual, speaking siSwati, Zulu, English and seSotho. She currently resides in Alberton.
