Angela de Villiers is a South African actress and voice artist best known for her role as Roux-Che Mthembu on the SABC1 sitcom Mzee wa Two Six (2005), and for playing a variety of comedic characters on the SABC2 comedy series Dube on 2, in 2004.
Trained at the Johannesburg School of Arts, Ballet, Drama and Music, de Villiers has performed extensively in the comedy and character arena for the corporate, theatre and voice over markets.
She made her television debut in kykNET's A Woman Scorned, in 2000. The following year she played the leading role of lawyer Tanya Joubert in the SABC3 soapie Isidingo.
From 2004-2006 she appeared in all 26 episodes of the Desmond Dube comedy series Dube on 2, playing a number of characters including a black man/woman, a kugel, an East Rand bum, an American housewife, a soap opera bride and a court clerk.
She played a kugel in two episodes of the first season of Bobby Heaney's Laugh Out Loud candid camera show, which aired on M-Net in 2005. She played various characters in the second season of Laugh Out Loud, which aired in 2006.
In 2005 she played the role of Roux-Che Mthembu on the SABC1 sitcom Mzee wa Two Six, appearing in nine of the 13 episodes that were made.
The series began airing on SABC2 in June 2008.
De Villiers was also the Master of Ceremonies at the 2002 Loerie Awards, performing in a number of skits as well.
She has also worked on numerous corporate projects utilising mime, dance and voiceover skills.
