Miriam Shor is an American actress best known for her role as Janet Thompson in the television drama series Swingtown, in 2008.
She also starred as Anna in the mini-series Mildred Pierce in 2011 and as Cricket Caruth-Reilly on the short-lived comedy-drama television series GCB, in 2012.
Shor’s television series credits include regular roles in Big Day, Inside Schwartz and Then Came You, as well as appearances in The West Wing, My Name is Earl and Damages.
Her feature film credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Bedazzled, Cake Eaters and Shortbus.
Shor has a passion for theatre, having appeared in her first opera at the age of 2. Since then, she returned to the theatre several times working with artists such as Stephen Sondheim, Terrence McNally and Lanford Wilson.
Born in Minneapolis, Minn., and raised in Italy and Detroit, Mich., Shor currently lives in Los Angeles. Her favourite '70s film is Star Wars.
