Darren Greef is a South African dancer best known as one of the Top 20 contestants on the SABC1 reality television competition So You Think You Can Dance, in 2008.

Dance history/experience:
Started dancing at age 10 at Outline Dance Studio in Somerset West after doing one of their open classes. Whilst there, entered numerous competitions including S.A and world championships, where I was placed 1st for S.A and 4th for the World.
I then joined the Waterfront Theatre School where I studied full-time achieving my advanced levels of dance, drama, and musical theatre as well as my dance teaching diplomas in Tap dancing and Modern dancing.
Whilst there I performed in numerous corporate, television advertisements and shows. While studying I achieved 4 world records through the Imperial Society of teachers of dancing in London, as I achieved the highest marks in the world for 4 major dance exams. I achieved 100% for 3 advanced dance exams & 98% for my teaching diploma.
Your favourite dance genre:
Contemporary for its soft and interperative feel and Tap dancing for its fast footwork and fun.
What will you do with the R250 000 if you win?
I would love to travel to different cities and explore their different forms of dance as well as take classes around the world.
What will you bring to the competition that is different?
Versatility from Tap to Ballet. I also hope to bring fun and entertainment to the competition and watch-ability.
