Tanya Stricker is a South African dancer best known as one of the Top 20 contestants on the SABC1 reality television competition So You Think You Can Dance, in 2008.

Your dance history/experience:
Started modern dance when I was 4 years old. Then started ballet when I was 10. Stopped dancing when I was 16 and concentrated on my schooling. Then at 18 went to London to study musical theatre and came back last August after The Producers the musical U.K tour.
I then performed in Chicago 'till I finished there in May 2008. Now I am freelancing. I am also a qualified dance teacher in Ballet, Modern dance, Drama and musical theatre.

What will you do with the R250 000 if you win?
I would be able to have some stability in my life. Put it towards living and surviving and helping my family out.
What will you bring to the competition that's different?
I will bring my passion and hunger for dance. I haven’t trained intensively for a good few years and focused on acting and signing so I am so thirsty and eager to dance.
