Jennifer "Jenn" Lyon (27 February, 1972 – 19 January, 2010) was an American reality television personality best known as one of the competitors in Survivor: Palau. She finished fourth in the competition.
Born in Nevada, Lyon grew up in Washington and Oregon. She spent one year in Spain as a foreign exchange student and two years in London working as a nanny. While in Oregon, she attended Portland State University for approximately one year.
She then attended Western Oregon State College before transferring to Oregon State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and food management and later pursued her master's degree in the school of family consumer sciences at California State University, Northridge.
Lyon worked as a nanny in the Los Angeles area and was a photographer part time. She previously worked as a nutrition counselor, preschool teacher and photographer's assistant.
She described herself as good-natured, easy-going and opinionated and enjoyed hiking, soccer and photography. She was proud of learning Spanish while participating in the foreign exchange program when she was 18 years old.
On 19 January, 2010, she died from cancer, which had come back from remission and had metastasized to her bones. She was the first cast member of Survivor to die.
