Ivanka Trump is an American businesswoman and one-time fashion model. She is the daughter of Ivana and Donald Trump, and is currently Vice President of Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at the Trump Organization.
Along with her father and her siblings, Donald Jr. and Eric, Ms. Trump, who joined the organisation in 2005, directs all areas of the company's real estate and hotel management platforms.
Trump actively participates in all aspects of both Trump and Trump-branded projects, including deal evaluation, pre-development planning, financing, design, construction, sales and marketing, and ensuring that Trump's physical and operational standards are met.
She is involved in all decisions - large and small - from the acquisition phase to determining the interior selections for residences and hotel suites.
Since joining The Trump Organization, one of Trump's primary focuses has been to bring the Trump Hotel Collection brand to global markets.
She founded the Trump Hotel Collection with her brothers in 2007. Since inception, the Trump International Hotel & Tower flag has garnered much praise within the luxury hospitality industry.
In addition to overseeing operations, Trump also spearheads the interior design decisions for the Trump Hotel Collection properties and provides the creative vision for the brand as a whole.
In January 2010, Trump International Hotel & Tower New York, the flagship property of the Trump Hotel Collection, went through an extensive multi-million dollar renovation of its 167 guest rooms and suites. Ms. Trump led this massive $30-million dollar renovation of The Forbes Five-Star Hotel.
Across Trump properties, she works extensively alongside the most talented designers in the world, including David Rockwell on the interiors of the Trump SoHo New York.
Ms. Trump is also actively involved in Trump Towers, Istanbul, a Trump branded development consisting of two towers - office and residential, along with a 400,000 square-foot luxury retail shopping center.
In addition to her work at The Trump Organization, Trump is a principal of Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, which launched in 2007 with a store on Madison Avenue in New York City.
In August 2010, Trump announced a partnership with Marc Fisher footwear to launch the Ivanka Trump Footwear Collection and a partnership with Mondani Handbags and Accessories to launch Ivanka Trump Handbags.
Additionally in September 2011, Trump along with FleetStreet, Ltd. launched a collection of outerwear. She continued to expand her brand in 2012 with the launch of her apparel line.
In addition to her many business ventures, Trump is also a media personality. She has been featured in hundreds of outlets worldwide, including Forbes, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Vanity Fair, CNN, CNBC, NBC's Today, Town & Country, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Vogue, W, Golf for Women and many others.
She is currently one of the advisors on The Celebrity Apprentice with her father and brothers. She previously appeared on The Apprentice as an advisor.
In October 2009, Touchstone Hardcover, a division of Simon & Schuster, published Ms. Trump's first book, a New York Times and Wall Street Journal Best Seller, "The Trump Card: Playing to Win in Work and Life."
In March 2010, Trump announced her involvement in the U.N. Foundation's Girl Up initiative, a campaign to recruit young women to support U.N. programs for girls in developing countries. Partnering with social activists such as Elizabeth Gore and Queen Rania of Jordan, the program hopes to bring awareness and career skills to young women around the world.
Trump is also involved with several other charitable organisations, including the Eric Trump Foundation and the New York City Police Foundation.
Trump graduated cum laude from the Wharton School of Finance at the University of Pennsylvania and received a bachelor's degree of science in economics.
Before joining The Trump Organization in 2005, she worked for Bruce Ratner at Forest City Enterprises as a real estate project manager.
