Bio
Ryan Robbins is a Canadian actor best known for his starring role as Henry Foss in the science fiction television series Sanctuary, from 2007-2011.
He has also had major recurring roles in the television series Falling Skies and The Killing.
Robbins was born in Canada and raised in Victoria, BC. He attended arts oriented schools where he wrote, produced, directed and starred in high-school productions and had his first taste of Shakespeare at the age of twelve.
After high school, Robbins began his professional career as a circus performer; traveling to Australia to perform. Longing for a new creative outlet, he moved back to Canada and in Vancouver, helped form an experimental band, Hellenkeller.
He was discovered by a local filmmaker who launched his career into the world of film and television.
He has guest starred in recurring roles on Blade, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis and The Collector and was the series lead in the CTV series Alice I Think. Robbins can also be seen in the independent films The Cabin Movie.
His other credits include Supernatural, jPod, Reaper, Smallville, Catwoman, Walking Tall, The Days, and Steven Spielberg's Taken, as well as the highly acclaimed Spielberg mini-series Into the West.
