Age: 28 David Brittz is from Bryanston in Johannesburg. He is a photographer and agent for a model and character agency. He has a girlfriend and rents a house with his buddies. He has a diploma in sports administration and marketing and is a sports all rounder.
He’s a self confessed adrenalin junkie, enjoys swimming, yoga and martial arts and enjoys cool people, sports, travel, scuba diving and girls. His ultimate movie is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and his favourite food is anything spicy or Italian. His fave celebrity is Os du Rand. He dislikes irritating people, time wasters and Jozi drivers. His philosophy is simple: Just do it. His most prized possession is an “awesome” puppy that has a Mohawk haircut – his name is Boomer. “I believe I have an edge over the other contestants in the competition – I never give up. I am very strong emotionally and a natural motivator of people. I entered to prove I’m as tough as I think I am and to win the R250 000 prize.
“My worst fear is that my gag reflex will let me down when it comes to eating the disgusting food there will surely be in the Fear Factor eating stunts. The bravest thing I’ve ever done was climbing Everest while having altitude sickness – it was also probably the dumbest thing I’ve ever done.
“Other than that the most physical thing I’ve done was to carry two models, both exceptionally tall girls, one under each arm down the catwalk in a fashion show. If I could take anything with me to Fear Factor it would be an ice-cold Hansa. If I win – I would sort out my business and go travelling for a long time and generally have a huge party.”
