Coming up on
Generations: The Legacy:
Thuli Phongolo who reprises her role as Lucy Diale and Jack Mabaso's DD (dearest daughter) Namhla Diale.
Thuli was last seen on the show in 2018 and has since appeared in Mzansi Magic's Rockville and The Wife, and SABC1's Makoti where she starred as Lilitha in both seasons.
When she returns to Generations, Namhla will be different.
She's no longer the gawky, geeky, shy and awkward teenager from before. Her time living and working overseas has changed her. She's become worldly, confident in her skills and talent, and yearns for a big life.
A life she thinks Jack can give her.
Namhla's ambitious, intelligent, cunning, slightly aloof, fiercely independent and has a complicated relationship with her parents.
She loves Lucy deeply, but their relationship has always been a tough one to navigate. Jack, on the other hand, wants to groom Namhla so she can move into his world, which is a world that Namhla is intrigued by.
But will his dangerous life be too much for her?
This from Thuli:
“Returning to Generations: The Legacy feels like coming back home. I’m excited to reconnect with the cast, crew and fans and to bring new energy to my character’s journey.”
She arrives Stage Left on Friday 25 April, the day after Six Nyamane leaves Stage Right.
Six, who portrays Nozipho Cele-Moroka, has left the show and won't be in the new season which starts on Monday 19 May.
