Bjorn Steinbach
Lives in: Port Elizabeth
Age: 21 Bjorn is a film student and aspiring actor. He’s single and says he’s too fussy and anyway doesn’t have the time to nurture a relationship. He lives in a house that he shares with five friends.
Bjorn’s into waterpolo and rugby and loves mind games, karaoke, the beach, running wild, women and sweet things. His favourite are Cadbury’s YES/NO bars. His philosophy is: The task ahead is never as strong as the strength within.
He has a cat called Nijinski and entered for the prize money and because it seemed a cool thing to do. “If I want to further my film studies overseas it will cost about R210 000, which is a lot of money! I haven’t really prepared for the show – I just tried to get all my studying done in time so I could come. My worst fear is spiders. The most amazing thing I ever did was make a short student film about boxers called RASPEC!
My most embarrassing moment was when my friends caught me scoring a girl – just after I told them I wasn’t interested in her. I’m quite sentimental, I love my sister who always watches over me in heaven and I cried in the Lion King when Mufassa died. My favourite musician is 50Cent, I love his CD, Massacre and my favourite book is Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code.”
