About the Show

Ever After is a South African religious reality television series produced by Urban Brew Studios which focuses on the fun part of weddings and marriages, the planning of the big day and following nervous brides and grooms on their special journeys, the venues, going down memory lane on first dates and journeys that have led them to this point.

The series premiered on DStv's ONE Gospel channel on Thursday 31 May 2012, at 21h00. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are 13 hour-long episodes in the series.

Synopsis

ONE Gospel launches its new wedding show called Ever After, which not only focuses on couples planning their wedding but on the institution of marriage.

The channel puts the spotlight on marriage, showing couples that it's not only about the wedding day but a lifelong commitment. Couples, some with decades of marital experience, share their own personal stories with the viewers at home to not only inspire them but help them through the hard times every relationship experiences.

Marriage counsellors, pastors and the role of the families are also included in the show, as this is an important aspect of the wedding and marriage.

The majority of the show is shot on location, where guests chat about preparation of the wedding, The Big Day, anniversaries and how to deal with conflict and misunderstandings.

Ever After also focuses on the fun part of weddings and marriages, the planning of the big day, and follows nervous brides and grooms on their special journeys, the venues, going down memory lane on first dates, and journeys that have led them to this point.

The first few episodes feature Amelia and her husband, who share their journey of how God restored them both to bring them back to one another after marriage, divorce and then re-marrying each other again after being divorced for five years.

Andile and Benedict share their challenges and joys of being married and coming from different cultures.

The wedding show is aimed at the family to watch together, along with married couples, brides and grooms to be, and couples in the process of fixing their own relationships.
