Ariel is a sixteen year-old mermaid who is not satisfied with her life under the sea. She is enthralled with all things human and longs to be on the surface.
Her father, King Triton, is aware that his headstrong daughter has a habit of wandering off, so he arranges for Sebastian, his trusty crustacean, to watch over her.
When Ariel rescues a human, Prince Eric, after his ship was caught in a storm, she takes him to shore and falls madly in love with him. And even though he has not laid eyes on her, Prince Eric had fallen in love with her beautiful voice.
When King Triton finds out that Ariel has been in contact with a human, his fury knows no bounds and he forbids Ariel to ever go to the surface again.
That is when Ursula intervenes.
Ursula has a grudge against King Triton and knows that by helping Ariel, she will be hurting Triton.
She gives Ariel a chance to become human and in return all she wants is Ariel's voice. The contract comes with terms and conditions that could be the end of Ariel.
Filled with magic and music, The Little Mermaid is a treat for the whole family.
