Baby Daddy is an American television sitcom created by Dan Berendsen which follows Ben, a guy in his 20s who gets the surprise of his life when an ex-girlfriend leaves her baby at his doorstep. Ben decides to raise his little girl with the help of his brother, Danny, his two close friends, Riley and Tucker, and his mother, Bonnie.
The series follows Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau), a young man in his early 20's living the life of a bachelor as a bartender in New York City with his buddy Tucker (Tahj Mowry) and his brother, a professional hockey player, Danny (Derek Theler).
Their lives turn upside down when they come home one day to find a baby girl left on his doorstep by an ex-girlfriend.
After much deliberation, Ben decides to raise the baby with the help of his friends and his protective and sometimes over-bearing mother Bonnie (Melissa Peterman) and his close female friend, Riley (Chelsea Kane), who has had a secret crush on him since childhood.
Riley used to be the overweight girl next door who they called "fatpants", but she has now blossomed into a beautiful young woman in law school. Riley's hopeful that Ben will finally take notice, but she doesn't realise that Ben's brother, Danny, is harbouring a secret crush on her.
