Brendan Currin, 30, from Johannesburg was named as the winner of the Men's Health Look 2008 at an event held at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town.

Out of the ten finalists chosen from across South Africa, Brendan, a fifth year medical student at Wits, embodied every aspect of the Men’s Health man.

His zest for life, leadership skills and commitment to health and fitness, career, friends and family made him an obvious choice for the judges and earned him the title of Men’s Health Look 2008.

Patrick Kasongo, 22, from Berea in Durban took home 2nd place while Dewald Nolte, 25, from Stellenbosch in Cape Town finished third.

Brendan won R15,000 in cash plus the chance to appear on the cover of Men’s Health magazine in 2009. Other prizes were received from Nike, Hunter’s Dry, Hugo Boss and Dentyne.
