Street Cred is a South African dance reality competition television series which travels to all nine provinces to find regional street dance winners, who go on to compete at a national level to win the Street Cred prize.
The series is hosted by rapper iFani.
While doing battle on the mobile Street Cred set, the best of street dance talent South Africa has to offer is on display. Each episode features a select audience and includes two regional judges, led by resident judge, hip-hop artist and break dancer, Eric 'Versatyle' Prinsloo.
The regional winner walks off the Street Cred dance floor with R2,000, a regional Street Cred trophy, the title of their region's ultimate Street Cred champion and a chance to compete in the Street Cred National solo finals in Johannesburg, where he/she could win R10,000 and the national solo Street Cred championship title.
In the first episode of the series the team travels to Mahikeng for the North West regional street dance championship. iFani hosts six solo finalists as they try to wow the team of judges, made up of resident judge Versatyle and two regional judges, local choreographer Lawrence Matlhanye and dance teacher Erin Musson.
