John Adams is an Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning American television mini-series written by Kirk Ellis, based on the book of the same name by David McCullough and produced by HBO Films which chronicles most of President John Adams's adult life and his role in the founding of the United States.
The mini-series aired in the USA on HBO from 16 March to 20 April, 2008. There are seven episodes, or roughly 500 minutes.
John Adams premiered in South Africa on M-Net on Tuesday 7 April 2009, at 23h00. New episodes air weekly at the same time.
