Shift is a South African talk show which aims to inspire viewers to shift their mindsets, attitudes and perceptions by thinking and talking about the issues dealt with on the show. The main thrust of the show is a focus on empowerment and it is aimed specifically at unemployed, unmotivated and insecure audiences.

The show encourages its audience to voice their opinions and to take control of their lives through self-motivation.
The daily issues are topical and cover a wide variety of subjects, from finance to self-esteem, entrepreneurship, empowerment, health, success stories, parenting, gender, education, tourism, environment, technology, arts, culture and social issues.
Guests on Shift include role models in all arenas from social to political; from financial to psychological; young achievers to any young person going places.
The idea is that the guests will inspire others to achieve, as they have.
The show invites callers to phone in during the hour-long broadcast and to interact with the guests and presenters, allowing a high level of audience involvement.
Shift was originally produced by Urban Brew Studios and later by LCAT Productions for SABC Education.
