From the director of The Siege and Legends of the Fall comes this action drama about valour, bravery and letting go of the past.
Denzel Washington is Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Serling, a former tank commander who is sent back to the US from the Gulf after a friendly fire incident which killed several of his men.
Bitter, in denial and now in a desk job, he's asked to review a move to award a Medal of Honour to Captain Karen Walden. The medal is to be given posthumously for the helicopter pilot's courage under fire.
Serling's expected to do little more than rubber-stamp the application, but something about Walden's crew makes him dig deeper. The problem is the deeper he digs, the further from the truth he gets.
Could it be that Serling has uncovered a major cover up operation?
Serling tries to find peace by putting right the wrongs in battle, and discovers that on the frontline there's more than one type of courage.
Tagline: A medal for honor. A search for justice. A battle for truth.
