Angie Tribeca is an American comedy television series created by Steve Carell and Nancy Walls Carell as a parody of police procedural shows which follows Angie Tribeca, a 10-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department's elite RHCU (Really Heinous Crimes Unit).
Angie and her squad of committed LAPD detectives investigate the most serious cases, from the murder of a ventriloquist to a rash of baker suicides.
At the centre is Angie Tribeca (Rashida Jones), a lone-wolf detective who is none too happy when partnered with J Geils, played by Hayes MacArthur. Jere Burns plays the squad's apoplectic captain.
Helping solve each complex case are detective Danny Tanner, played by Deon Cole; Dr. Monica Scholls, the quirky, bespectacled medical examiner played by Andree Vermeulen; and Hoffman, Tanner's K9 German Shepard partner played by Jagger.
Angie Tribeca is the brainchild of Steve and Nancy Carell, who executive-produce the series through their production company Carousel Television.
