Masterminds is a Canadian true crime documentary television series produced by Red Apple Entertainment which tells real crime stories about amazing deceptions that brilliant criminals use to pull off seemingly impossible crimes - and how they were caught.
The series premiered in the USA on Court TV on 16 July, 2003. Episodes are half an hour long.
Masterminds premiered in South Africa on DStv's Crime & Investigation Network channel on Tuesday 4 November 2008, at 20h30. Double episodes air back-to-back each week. There are 18 half-hour episodes in the first season.
