Season 1
Life's a Journey is a South African lifestyle magazine television series produced by Alan Ford Productions in association with Tswelopele Productions which takes viewers inside the lives of wellbeing experts and celebrities in terms of health, fitness, nutrition, happiness and general balance.
The series is presented by current Mr South Africa, Stephen Segal and radio and TV presenter Zuraida Jardine Lindberg.
Life's a Journey premiered on SABC3 on Wednesday 7 April 2010, at 20h00. New episodes air weekly. There are 13 half-hour episodes in the series.
Synopsis
Life's a Journey is dedicated to aspects of health and wellbeing and takes a list of the best South African wellbeing experts and celebrities and gives viewers a peek at how they are living their best lives, in terms of health, fitness, nutrition, happiness and general balance throughout daily life.
The 13 episodes are divided into 13 themes, each one focusing on a different aspect of wellbeing. These themes include Time Out; Energy To Go and Natural Balance, among others.
The objective is to give the viewer a practical guide on how to live their best life in a way that specifically targets one feature of wellbeing. After 13 weeks the viewer has had a full course on how to improve all aspects of their lives through motivation and action.
The series features celebrities, motivational speakers, health gurus, fitness experts and chefs from around the country and the world, who will give the advice and entertainment they love to see.
Life's a Journey aims to share the journey of the most accredited people in the world to become the authority on wellbeing and living a fulfilling and well-rounded life.
The show also talks to those unsung heroes of our country who are making changes in their lives and communities to bring the journey of wellbeing to all those around them.
This journey is led by the presenters. The first is the current Mr South Africa, Stephen Segal. A highly motivated, positive man, Stephen has carried himself out of financial worries and obesity to become a successful TV personality, representative of the country and businessman.
The second presenter is Zuraida Jardine Lindberg. After a successful radio and television career in South Africa, Zuraida migrated to Los Angeles with her husband. She has now returned and also given birth to a daughter.
She now balances her love for her family, her career and her understanding of the world around her – a task that many women can relate to.
Life's a Journey wants to be a guide, muse, guru and friend to those who want to make those positive changes in their lives.
