Season 1
Most Haunted is a British paranormal docu-reality television series created and produced by Yvette Fielding and Karl Beattie in which the Most Haunted crew - including a variety of spirit mediums, parapsychologists and paranormal investigators - investigates some of the scariest places in the UK and other countries.
The series aired in the UK on Living TV from 25 May, 2002 to 21 July, 2010. There are 185 episodes (half-hour in the first season and 45 minutes thereafter) in 14 seasons.
Most Haunted premiered in South Africa on TopTV's Fox FX channel on Saturday 1 May 2010, at 16h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Synopsis
Could you lock yourself in a haunted location for 24 hours? That's just what the Most Haunted team do.
Led by Yvette Fielding and a variety of spirit mediums, parapsychologists and paranormal investigators, the Most Haunted crew investigate some of the scariest places in the UK and other countries.
They attempt several different methods to explore the psychology and science behind reported ghostly phenomena, communicate with the long deceased and prove, scientifically, the existence of life after death.
Each episode begins in the reassuring daylight where we learn the infamous location's history; who lived here and what paranormal activity has allegedly transpired over the years.
As night approaches, we shift to the claustrophobic and intense world of night vision and we see, hear and feel all the paranormal phenomena that our team experiences.
Whether or not you believe in ghosts, prepare to have your preconceptions challenged beyond anything you thought possible.
