Season 1
Current affairs talk show in English and Zulu.
The issue of the week is advertised the week prior to the programme and viewers have an opportunity to air their views by phone, email and SMS.
In most cases issues are initiated by viewers and transformed into an tele-visual report. The central guest(s), the studio audience, viewers SMS's, emails, and phone calls make for lively interaction regarding the issue of the day.
Viewers are also given a chance to vote on the issue. The outcome of the vote is reflected graphically at the end of the programme.
Every episode is multi-themed, exploring the life-styles of South African role models - how they achieve their goals and how they deal with challenges. The spotlight is placed on different communities and their cultures, to promote understanding of our rainbow nation.
The Arts, which is often sadly neglected in current affairs programmes, play a big role in Asikhulume/Let's Talk. This slot covers music, entertainment and the visual arts.
