Season 1
The Daily Show with Trevor Noah is an American comedy news talk show that re-invents topical news by poking satirical fun at both current events and the people involved in them.
Hosted by writer, producer and comedian Trevor Noah, the show makes political and social commentary through Trevor's comments, the satirical arrangement of footage and correspondents reporting both real and fake news.
In addition to reporting it's own particular brand of news, each show includes interviews with celebrities and politicians who Trevor pretends he's taking seriously, but never does.
Noah joined The Daily Show in 2014 as a contributor. He made his U.S. television debut in 2012 on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and has also appeared on Late Show with David Letterman, becoming the first South African stand-up comedian to appear on either late-night show.
Noah has hosted numerous television shows, including his own late-night talk show in South Africa, Tonight with Trevor Noah.
He replaced Jon Stewart as host of The Daily Show in 2015, making his first appearance on Monday 28 September, 2015. Comedian Kevin Hart was his first guest and his inaugural week concluded with his first musical guest, featuring a performance by Ryan Adams.
The complete, premiere week guest lineup was as follows:
