Double-Up Mzansi Style is a South African travel and lifestyle show hosted by biker Seipei Mashugane and her travel companion, comedian Tats Nkonzo, as they travel across South Africa to discover the hidden treasures of the country.
Seipei and Tats open up the throttle on a sidecar motorbike to explore the land's diverse and unique landscapes. The show focuses on hidden gems and amazing features in all of South Africa's nine provinces.
The aim of the show is to entice viewers to take their own trips and to explore the amazing and extraordinary attractions that each of the nine provinces boast.
Seipei and Tats explore heritage sites and various towns with charm and are joined by a local icon in each province, who boasts years of experience and knows the landscape, to share their favourite and fascinating aspects of that province.
Double-Up Mzansi Style was produced by Luna Films International. The series was directed by Sindelo Cenenda and executive produced by Peter Vundla. The producer for e.tv was Pontsho Mdakane.
Broadcast Notes
Season 1 consists of 13 episodes. The first six episodes aired on e.tv Mondays at 20h30 before the show went on hiatus. When it returned with the final seven episodes on 24 April, 2016, it was in a new timeslot of Sundays at 18h30.
