Season 1
Ridiculousness Africa is a South African version of the American comedy video clip show Ridiculousness, which shows various viral videos from the Internet, usually involving failed do-it-yourself attempts at stunts, to which the co-hosts and guests add mock commentary.
Insane antics, crazy stunts and life-threatening feats of senseless folly are all part of the scenery in Ridiculousness Africa. The show celebrates the brave, fun-loving, light-hearted and unapologetically foolish men and women who are prepared to risk life and limb – all in the interest of achieving 15 seconds of fleeting fame on the internet.
Hosted comedian and TV host Thomas Gumede, Ridiculousness Africa hunts the length and breadth of the internet on your behalf seeking out the weirdest, the whackiest, and uncontestably the most stupid stunts ever committed to video involving boats, cars, bikes, pools, trampolines and more.
Gumede is joined by co-hosts, co-conspirators and presenter Boity Thulo and Nigerian comedian Basketmouth as they laugh, shriek, hide behind the sofa and generally dissect the jaw-dropping exploits of irrational peeps who just can't control the urge to do something incredibly stupid in front of a camera.
Bearing the warning "don't try this at home", Ridiculousness Africa is taped on location in Spain, with Gumede, Thulo and Basketmouth all in Madrid on location.
