Season 1 Synopsis
Set within a struggling veterinary practice in Yorkshire, The Chase features a stellar cast including Keith Barron, Gaynor Faye and Nicola Stephenson as a family of vets serving the fictional local community of Oxley.
George Williams heads the practice with his daughter Anna and her husband Tom.
George's second daughter Sarah lives in London, where she moved following the death of her mother – and the discovery of Tom in a compromising situation with one of the surgery nurses, Fiona.
But George has found a new wife, Claudie, and at the wedding reception he announces his retirement leaving an eight month pregnant Anna with a struggling business, an estranged sister, one vet down, one vet defecting to the local opposition and a list of operations as long as her arm.
It's enough to send a woman into labour...
The Chase also stars Reece Dinsdale as senior partner Rick, Janet Dibley as his wife and fearsome, snobby practice manager Deborah, and Sunetra Sarker, Rachel Davies and Liam Garrigan as veterinary nurses Clare, Margaret and Matt.
