Together with the experts they revamp their dating profile, their look and also dig deeper into issues that could be holding them back. The show brings together style tips, online dating advice and the magic makeover reveal moments.
Pabi Moloi hosts the series, while a team including a life coach, style expert, makeup guru and hairdressers rally around the participants throughout the transformation process.
The Experts
Life Coach: Zenia Barnard
Zenia Barnard's experience as a senior manager in a large organisation, as well as her entrepreneurial aptitude as founder of the Gradnet platform, has formed a solid foundation for her holistic approach to life.
She has always had a keen interest in human behaviour. This, coupled with her knowledge of technology, provides an authentic context for her results-driven coaching framework.
Fashion Stylist: Shaldon Kopman
The South African fashion 'Renaissance Man', Shaldon Kopman began his career as a model before moving into the world of styling, creative direction and more recently design and entrepreneurship.
Today, Shaldon embodies the brand ethos of his bespoke menswear label Naked Ape, championing African creativity and excellence to a global market.
Makeup Guru: Nthato Mashishi
Makeup artist Nthato Mashishi has pushed all limits, coming from nothing. Born in Soweto but raised in Alexandra, Nthato has always been curious about the artistry of enhancing beauty.
It all started back in 1981 when the whole world was glued to their TVs watching the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Everyone watched the wedding, however, Nthato was fascinated by how their hair was styled, how their makeup was done, how her dress fit her body, how he wore his suit...
From that day he knew that makeup artistry is what he loved. He's worked with a number of superstars in the industry, including the late President Nelson Mandela.
Hairstylist: Candice Wyatt-Minter
Candice Wyatt-Minter is an internationally acclaimed hairstylist and a Joburg institution all on her own. She is the woman at the heart of Wyatt Hairdressing and Barbering, an eco-conscious hair salon with the belief that beauty should be sustainable.
Candice believes that coming from Johannesburg is her biggest advantage, saying that being so far from the creative hubs has kept South African's ideas quite untainted and unique.
Hairstylist and Barber: Gareth Strydom
Gareth Strydom is an accomplished hair stylist with numerous accolades under his belt. His achievements include being a finalist for the 2014 L'Oreal color trophy, winning the 2015 Intercoiffure hair competition and in the same year being a Kerastase and L'Oreal Color Ambassador.
He was worked on the 2016 SA Fashion week and was a Redken Ownit finalist in both 2016 and 2017. Most recently he was the assistant colorist for Candice Wyatt-Minter at Davines worldwide hair tour in Italy.
Hairstylist: Guinevere Miller
Guinevere Miller has been in the industry for 10 years, having trained with Carlton Hair. She joined Candice and her Wyatt team eight years ago and has been fortunate enough to have travelled and trained internationally extensively during her career. She is now a manager and trainer for Wyatt Hairdressing and Barbering.
Guinevere has always had a passion for teaching and began sharing skills and techniques early on in her career. Preferring one on one salon work and education rather than stage or competition work has allowed her to build strong client relations.
