Season 1 Synopsis
The series follows a group of single men and women who are given the opportunity of a lifetime — to live together in the most exclusive resort ever created.
But paradise doesn't last forever... each week one hotel guest gets eliminated to make room for a new guest.
Viewers at home could become the new guests of the hotel by logging onto a specially-created website for a chance to become a contestant. Contestants had to win a unique studio game where the guests at the hotel decided which contestant would be the next guest at "Paradise Hotel."
The studio winner literally left immediately after the show and flew to the resort to appear on the next episode as a hotel guest.
On the Monday shows, viewers at home could watch along with the studio audience as every tantalizing moment unfolded at the hotel. On Wednesdays, the in-studio contestants competed to become the newest addition to "Paradise Hotel."
Meanwhile, at the hotel, it is the goal of every guest to remain in paradise as long as possible.
The winners of the first season were Charla Pihlstrom and Keith Cuda with Dave Kerpen and Tara Gerard finishing as the runner-ups.
In the finale Charla and Keith won $250,000, but had to decide whether to split it with their partners. Keith decided to split it with Tara Gerard while Charla chose to keep the money for herself - and Dave received nothing.
