Season 2
Notorious rapper, actor, singer-turned-talk-show-host Queen Latifah makes her debut on the e.tv screens for the second season of The Queen Latifah Show, having previously aired its first season on the now-defunct M-Net Series Reality channel.
The caliber of the stars that Latifah chats with this season includes those who rarely do frank interviews. Guests include Reese Witherspoon, Toni Braxton, Denzel Washington, Snoop Dogg, Jada Pinkett Smith (the show's executive producer), Goldie Hawn, Sharon Osbourne, RuPaul, Patti LaBelle, Andrè 3000, Vanessa Williams, Blair Underwood and Cicely Tyson, Boris Kodjoe and Tyson Beckford.
The Queen Latifah Show is a daytime talk-variety series, a multi-topic show that features a mix of A-list celebrities, real people with inspiring stories, buzz worthy musical acts and Latifah's unique - often comedic - take on pop culture.
Additionally, she ventures out into communities across the country to capture compelling stories, celebrate exceptional individuals and deliver life-changing surprises.
For those who have been with the show from the beginning and those who may be tuning in for the first time, Season 2 of The Queen Latifah Show is going to deliver some great surprises and a whole lot of feel-good fun.
The show is produced by Flavor Unit Entertainment, a production company owned and operated by Queen Latifah and her partner Shakim Compere. Jada Pinkett Smith is the show's executive producer and the set was desgined by rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Broadcast Notes
The Queen Latifah Show premiered in the USA in syndication on 16 September, 2013.
The series premiered in South Africa on DStv's now-defunct M-Net Series Reality channel on Monday 21 October 2013, at 18h30. The show moved to weekdays at 17h30 from Monday 2 December, 2013. The channel closed down on 12 October 2014, whereupon e.tv bought the rights and began broadcasting the show from Season 2 on the very next day - Monday, 13 October.
The show also aired sporadically, in non-sequential order, on M-Net Series Zone.
