Season 2
It's 1966, and DC Endeavour Morse is back on the case after an extended leave of absence. It won't be an easy return to duty, and Morse will face four new mysteries to unravel, each of which will test him to his limits.
Firstly, the apparent suicide of a young girl and the robbery of a cash of ancient artefacts lead Morse to a startling link between the two crimes. After this the murder of a genealogy specialist reveals old connections to secret societies.
Later a series of murders involving housewives and missing wedding rings marks the start of a trail that leads to a department store with a traumatic history.
Finally, a missing boy and the bodies of both a journalist and an escaped prisoner lead Morse to a vast and complex conspiracy involving corruption at the highest levels. For Endeavour Morse, it's all just a part of the job.
Shaun Evans (The Take, The Last Weekend) returns in the lead role as young Morse, with Roger Allam (The Thick of It, Parade's End) as his senior Detective Inspector Fred.
The second season of Endeavour comprises 4 x 120 minute films: Trove, Nocturne, Sway and Neverland. All four are written by screenwriter and Morse contributor, Russell Lewis.
