Season 2
Famous! is a South African reality television series produced by Urban Brew Studios in which five aspirant South African superstars, all teens, are set the task of successfully recording an album.
The series aired on SABC2 from 8 July, 2006 to 15 January, 2008. There are 52 half-hour episodes in two seasons.

Season 2
In the second season of a series where reality show meets magazine programme, six aspirant South African superstars, all teens, are set the task of successfully recording an album as the group on Famous!
The band was selected from a pool of teenagers from around South Africa. Representing the cultural diversity of the country, the six embark on a career in the music industry.
Through interviews, live performances and behind the scenes footage young South Africans are exposed to the history and theory of music as it relates to art, culture and careers.
The magazine element sees the almost Famous! stars hosting the weekly show as it rolls out from a studio fitted to resemble a club, replete with stage and an audience of children.
The band also interviews and performs with famous South African musicians, producers and key industry players.
Following the weekly exploits of the group as they prepare to perform songs for their album forms the reality aspect of the series. The songs are written both by and for the band.
A weekly challenge is set where the band has to call on the expertise of the showcased South African star to successfully complete the task.
The young music stars on Famous! are high school pupils ranging in age from 11 to 16 years.
