Famous! is a South African reality television series produced by Urban Brew Studios in which five aspirant South African superstars, all teens, are set the task of successfully recording an album.
The series aired on SABC2 from 8 July, 2006 to 15 January, 2008. There are 52 half-hour episodes in two seasons.

Synopsis
An all-girl band were selected from a pool of musically talented teenagers from the four corners of South Africa. Representing the cultural diversity of the country, the five talented youth embark on a career in the music industry.
Through interviews, live performances and behind the scenes footage young South Africans are exposed to the history and theory of music as it relates to art, culture and careers.
The magazine element sees the five almost Famous! stars hosting the weekly show as it rolls out from a studio fitted to resemble a club, replete with stage and an audience of children.
The girls also interview and perform with famous South African musicians, producers and key industry players.
Following the weekly exploits of the group as they prepare to perform songs for their album forms the reality aspect of the series. The songs are written both by and for the girls. A weekly challenge is set where the band has to call on the expertise of the showcased South African star to successfully complete the task.
The young music stars on Famous! are high school pupils ranging in age from 13 to 15 years. Each has independently made a name for herself having been awarded accolades for participating in various art and entertainment events.
