Episode 1
It's a day like any other in January 1965 in Odendaalsrus. Two cousins, Petro and Issie, go to the municipal swimming pool but then vanish without a trace.

Ons mense (Our people)
The girls’ bodies are found. Issie’s brother, André, feels responsible because he didn’t look after them. The local police station is ill-equipped to investigate the case.

Voor die regterstoel (In front of the judge’s chair)
Captain At van Wyk leads the investigation. The girls are buried, and André swears an oath to catch the guilty party. A family member is taken in for questioning.

Wonde (Wounds)
No evidence links the family member to the murders. André joins the police. In 1984, At reopens the Niggies case after new information comes to light. André gets involved in the investigation.

A suspect is investigated. André’s obsession with the case causes conflict with his parents and family. Gustaff’s relationship with his family reaches a low point.

The investigation is caught in a race against time, as the suspect is soon to be released on parole. Criminals target André’s family. The suspect’s parents are questioned.
