Season 2
Saving Our Marriage is a South African marriage coaching reality series in which couples go on a journey of learning how to build a healthy and loving marriage.
The series films couples in their day-to-day lives from Monday to Thursday; on Friday the couples move into a couples retreat for the weekend, where they are put through intense counselling and tasks by resident experts Paul Nyamuda and Ilze Alberts.
Ilze is a life strategist and psychologist who is also a published author. Paul is an organisational psychologist and relationship coach who has an executive coaching business.
From time to time, the show also has experts who come in to address very specific issues, including a financial coach and life coach, among others.
Themes the show addresses include communication, working through what we don't like about our partner, money and how careers impact on marriages.
In the Season 2 premiere: We meet the four couples for this season: Paul and Maria, Mahlodi and Asanda, Vivian and Gudani and Thabang and Nonhlanhla.
All of them are facing dire issues in their respective marriages, and they have come to the show for much needed marriage counselling.
Saving Our Marriage is produced by Connect TV with executive producers Clifford Elk and Basetsana Kumalo. The series producer is Petronella Tasara and the series director is Thulani "Fish" Masuku.
