Season 3

This season features four powerful women pathfinders in Business (the previous two seasons covered Sheroes in Sport and Media). These are the key players in the South African economy.

The season looks at their backgrounds and the turning points that forced them to let go of limiting beliefs.

Nonkululeko Gobodo

Nonkululeko Gobodo was born in the Eastern Cape Transkei and grew up in the Transkei. She was the first black woman in South Africa to graduate as a Chartered Accountant.

Johanna Mukoki

Johanna Makgalemele Mukoki was born in Orlando, Soweto, Johannesburg. She displayed entrepreneurial skills on the busy streets of Soweto by supporting her family's business at the age of 11. She is the co-founder of Travel with Flair, a company she started 20 years ago with her two partners.

She is the first person from the African continent to sit on the Global Tourism Board (ACTE) – Association of Corporate Travel Executives, where she represented the Middle East and Africa.

Christine Ramon

Christine Ramon is Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer of AngloGold Ashanti Limited. Previously she was an Executive Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Sasol Limited from 2006 until 2013. She was also the former Chief Executive and Financial Director of Johnnic Holdings Limited.

Ipeleng Mkhari

Ipeleng Mkhari is an entrepreneur, businesswoman, wife and a mother. She credits all her success to hard work and willingness to learn at all times.

She started her business career in 1998 when she stumbled into the electronics security sector. A year later she started in business on her own, with Phosa Iliso CCTV becoming the first black woman-owned CCTV business in South Africa.

She is now a co-founder of Motseng Investment Holdings which is a diversified investment holdings group and co-founded Delta Property Fund - a leading black managed and substantially black owned property loan stock company. Ipeleng is a self-made millionaire.
