Season 3
One of the UK's most popular series since 1977, Top Gear now brings its high-adrenaline action entertainment to America.
Top Gear delves deeper into the colourful history of the automobile and showcases an offbeat celebration of the art of driving, featuring super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews, as well as the eccentric adventures of its hosts with Top Gear's customary wit and humour.
Hosted by comedian and car buff Adam Ferrara, champion rally and drift racer Tanner Foust and racing analyst Rutledge Wood, Top Gear explores the history of America, one lap at a time.
The show follows a similar format of the BBC version: three main hosts present, The Stig (a secret race driver) tests vehicles, and celebrities are invited for interviews and to drive vehicles around a test track.
In addition, challenges similar in nature to the ones presented in the original show are replicated in Top Gear USA. The "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" (retitled "Big Star, Small Car") segment uses a Suzuki SX4 Sportback.
Filming of this segment, along with in-studio segments take place at the former Marine Corps Air Station El Toro, now known as the Orange County Great Park, in Irvine, California.
Chock-full of high-adrenaline action entertainment, this third season of Top Gear USA will see the presenting team of Tanner, Adam and Rutledge will embark on epic journeys across the US while testing the limits of the world's most prestigious – and infamous – cars.
From the swamps of Louisiana to Utah's Monument Valley and the Alaskan wilderness, if it has four wheels, these guys want to drive it (and if they're Adam, wreck it!).
Racing against speed boats, snowmobiles and jets, the guys test the most modern police cars and see how far you can really get on one tank of gas.
Small cars, cop cars, rental cars, supercars, cult classics, farming vehicles and extreme stunts and challenges, are all part of the surprises in Season 3 of Top Gear USA.
