Dax Shepard is an American actor best known for his starring role as Crosby Braverman in the comedy-drama television series Parenthood.
Shepard made his television debut on MTV's Punk'd, starring in the first season of the prankster reality show and receiving a Teen Choice Award nomination in 2003.
His other television credits include guest-starring roles in My Name is Earl, The Naked Trucker and T-Bone Show, Life with Bonnie and voicing characters on King of the Hill and Robot Chicken.
Shepard's film credits include co-starring in Baby Mama opposite Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, Zathura directed by Jon Favreau, Idiocracy directed by Mike Judge, Let's Go to Prison opposite Will Arnett, Employee of the Month and Without a Paddle.
Shepard can currently be seen in the family comedy Old Dogs starring Robin Williams and John Travolta, and stars in the upcoming romantic comedy When in Rome opposite Kristen Bell, Will Arnett, Danny DeVito and Jon Heder.
Born and raised in Michigan, Shepard graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a degree in anthropology. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
