Season 5
Black-ish is an American single-camera comedy series created by Kenya Barris which revolves around an African-American family man who struggles to gain a sense of cultural identity that both honours the past and embraces the future, whilst raising his kids in a predominantly white, upper-middle-class neighbourhood.
Like any parents, Andre "Dre" (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow (Tracee Ellis Ross) Johnson want to give their children the best. But their offspring's childhood is turning out to be much different than theirs.
In the Season 5 premiere, "Gap Year": after dropping Junior off at college, Dre and Bow are beside themselves when they find him back at home announcing his decision to take a gap year.
Meanwhile, Jack and Diane begin to question whether they should still be sharing a room.

Broadcast Notes
Season 5 originally aired on 1 Magic on Thursdays at 19h00. This changed to double bills at 19h00 from Episodes 4 and 5, which aired on 14 March, 2019. The season reverted to single episodes from Episode 12, which aired on 11 April, 2019.
