Modern Family is an American mockumentary comedy television series created by Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan and produced by Fox Television Studios which follows the families of Jay Pritchett, his daughter Claire Dunphy and his son Mitchell Pritchett, who live in Los Angeles, and takes a modern and hilarious look at the complications that come with being a family today.
In the Season 8 premiere, "A Tale of Three Cities": after recent trips take the Dunphys to New York; Mitch, Cam and Lily to the Midwest; and Jay, Gloria, Manny and Joe to Juarez, Mexico; the Pritchett-Dunphy-Tucker clan reunites with all of the families converging at home for Father's Day.

The series is produced by Twentieth Century Fox Television in association with Picador Productions and Steven Levitan Prods. Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd are the creators/executive producers.
