Season 9
Prince Lorenzo Borghese, a 33-year-old animal cosmetics entrepreneur, will try to meet his own Grace Kelly when he romances 25 American women in the city of Rome.
Through a series of social gatherings and exotic, romantic dates – in groups with some, and individually with others – Prince Borghese will get to know these very special women.
At the end of the Roman holiday, he will have had an unforgettable experience, made new friendships and quite possibly found true love.
Prince Borghese is an American citizen who's resided in Manhattan since 1997. Born in Milan, he lived in Rome and outside Paris before moving to Connecticut when he was 5 years old.
Born of the Borghese's parents, Prince Francesco and Princess Amanda Borghese, Lorenzo is hoping to find that type of long-lasting, happily-ever-after relationship.
Chris Harrison guides this romantic excursion, serving as friend and confidant, as a new Bachelor and the women he'll court learn more about each other.
Set at a sprawling Italian castle that was built in 1604 by Cardinale Taverna, The Bachelor: Rome's premiere will begin with the traditional cocktail reception in which the season's 25 bachelorettes will vie for Lorenzo's attention.
However in addition to competing with each other, the bachelorettes will have some additional competition - two "gorgeous Italian Cinderellas" that crash the party and plot to steal Lorenzo's heart and attention.
With both sides pulling out all the stops, the tug-of-war over Lorenzo will continue throughout the entire night and end with a sunrise Rose Ceremony - a Bachelor first - in which Lorenzo must eliminate 15 of the 27 women.
Similar to other recent The Bachelor editions, the reception will also feature Lorenzo giving an early rose - plus in another Bachelor first, "a very special sparkling token" - to one of the women.
After narrowing the pool of women to 12, Lorenzo will continue to get to know the remaining women through a series of group and solo dates that will include visits to the ruins of Rome's ancient Forum, Colosseum and Pantheon; the Trevi Fountain; and the lush Villa Borghese - a large Roman park that bears Lorenzo's family name.
